Artan is known for expressive oil paintings inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, townscapes and still life. He captures the intensity of southern light through bold brushwork and a deep, luminous palette.
He is the artist behind AJ Studio Gallery and opens his studio to visitors and collectors at select times. A long-time Surrey resident, his work is shaped by years living and painting in the Mediterranean.
